Replacing some window shutters that got damaged in a recent hailstorm.

Used the Stretch for some food prep yesterday, I've really been enjoying apples & cheddar lately, this was a Pink Lady with an Extra Mature block from the Mull of Kintyre in Scotland. Here's a particularly thin slice I managed.
I used the S30v Para 3 for a similar lunch today, and I have to admit I did miss the extra half-inch of blade. I was able to get thinner results on the cheese though, which was a 2-year Old Croc Australian cheddar. Perhaps the thicker blade gave me a bit more control?

I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Heavy day of cardboard and strapping shredding. After 3 days, the factory edge is still shaving arm hair. I think I could be set for life as long as I have Rex45 and 4V. Though, the warm and humid summer months I do tend to want to carry more stainless blades while at work.

Man, that old croc brand is my absolute favorite! I usually get the 18mo extra sharp. I will be looking for the 2yr now. If you ever get a chance, try the 1,000 day cheddar from Boar’s Head. A very close second to the old croc imo.kennethsime wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 11:52 am...which was a 2-year Old Croc Australian cheddar. Perhaps the thicker blade gave me a bit more control?
And to stay in topic, I just used my Watu to break down a few boxes for the dumpster. Really loving it.

It's very, very good. My favorite so far is the 3-Year from Black Creek in Wisconsin. I'll be on the lookout for the Boar's Head.PStone wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 2:19 pmMan, that old croc brand is my absolute favorite! I usually get the 18mo extra sharp. Also, the Watu looks like a fantastic box cutter!

Protecting myself from red tail catfish as I swam in the Amazon River. The catfish must have seen the knife in my pocket and left me alone.

You've got more balls than me. My 4V Manix so far has only whittled a hair.... and for this I can report the strength, durability, and edge retention were excellent!TkoK83Spy wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 1:44 pmHeavy day of cardboard and strapping shredding. I cant bring myself to wear down or scratch the DLC even though I know how durable how it is.
Back on topic with this thread: Since I'm furloughed, the last thing I did with my Spyderco was use my Rex 45 Para 3 to open the box for my new K390 Ladybug.
Re: What did you use your Spyderco for last?
Don't fear my friend!! Check out this thread I posted a while back...use and enjoy that Manix!! It's a great model and steel for a user, I promise you can return its look to good as new within 5 minutes.SubMicron wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 5:33 pmYou've got more balls than me. Haha! I actually remember watching that cartoon on a very obscure, super late night, cartoon variety show.

My trusty ZDP Dragonfly helped prepare and eat dinner tonight :D
I only picked up a dragonfly on a whim a little while ago but I am quickly falling in love with this big little knife. Does everything I need a knife to do, and nothing I don't. :spyder:

Well done. I also like to do this sometimes.
