Opportunity: Girlfriend had 6 coolers delivered from Amazon for a work project.
Problem: The recycling can was already 75% full.
Solution: Knafs.

I started with the Manix 2, but quickly became upset that the edge wasn't quite the sharpest. It's still got an edge from the previous owner which could stand to be refined. I took the opportunity to compare my PM2 and Stretch. Both cut very well, and were comfortable to use even while cutting through 4 sheets of cardboard, but the edge on the PM2 was sharper so I used that for the bulk of the work.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

Carried the Para 3 LW today, did some light pruning work on a tree in the front yard and then opened up a particularly frustrating package from an eBay seller - way too much packaging tape! Now I have a rear cargo area cover for my station wagon and I can walk through the front yard without hitting my head on branches.

Used my REX Native to open a package sent by a kind and generous friend from overseas. Inside was a GEC Crown Lifter in antique yellow bone. It is truly an exquisite little knife. I had been waiting for GEC to do a new run of these, so very happy to have this.

I had to install a stove range hood today so my little Navigator ll got the job to open up the box. Worked very nicely for that job.

Got bored at work just now. Decided to see how the thin blade of the UKPK glided through cardboard. Overall, pretty impressed. Tried various angles, with and against the grain. Never felt any worry that the blade would "unlock" as it's pretty firmly in place with your finger in the choil.

I used my bone stock S30V PM 2 to cut some saplings while my son and I were doing lawn cleanup. I now understand what Spyderco sharp is all about!! 😊😱

Used my Urban to cut some clovers.
Image
Having a socially distant picnic with wifey today, and I looked over and saw a four leaf clover. Then another, and another, and so on. Found 33 four leaf clovers next to our blanket, and one 5 leafer. That’s the one on the Urban. Needless to say, stopped and bought a few lotto tickets on the way home!
