I like it.

I've just been carving notches on my handles.

Thanks for sharing that with us Rock!

A few weeks ago I gave a friend a Manix 2 LW that I put a highly refined polished edge on. He loves the knife and keeps telling me it's ridiculously sharp. Yesterday he told me he cut his thumb pretty deep with it. I immediately took the opportunity to send him the Finger Carving Merit Badge! He and his wife got a big kick out of it!

Thankfully I rarely cut myself. I got my first bite in years about a month ago. I was cutting a rope on a barge in the ocean when it was rough, and my byrd rescue 2 had become dull from lots of rope cutting. After taking a slice the blade caught me directly under my left index fingernail. OUCH. I had just taken off my gloves too (funny how that works!). Luckily I kept it clean enough to prevent infection and it was fine in a week.

I would get one haha My cuts seem to come in groups. I cut myself twice in two days. Was trying to figure out if it was more ironic when I cut myself sharpening the knife or when I cut myself opening a knife. Same finger different sides... good times

Many years ago, I accidently closed a SE Harpy on the knuckle of my right index finger, slicing through a few ligaments/tendons. It has never been quite the same ever since... However, I like to occasionally point it at people and say, "Elliot," in my best ET voice. That always seems to bring a smile or two. ;)

I am happy to say I have not been cut by my Spydercos, though I came close a time or two. I have had other knives cut me, though. It has been a few years, though.

I’ve nicked myself a few times, gotten a few good ones from Spydies, took a few stitches from a hook blade utility knife once. But my worst from a blade, didn’t involve touching the blade of my table saw at all. Took a wicked kickback through my hand, yes through. Almost had 3 fingers amputated but they humpty dumptied me back together. It’ll never be the same but I can use it. I’d post pics but they’re probably a bit too graphic.

I cut my fingers so many times, so I was gifted for my birthday from the wifey and children special "only for dad" band-aid more than once.

Us old school guys who grew up with Buck 110s and 112s or the Gerber Sportsman 2 were used to a stiff lockback placed at the tail end of the handle. Many of us got an Endura or Delica first and gave it a light flick with our wrist only to have the blade glide over and gently come to rest inside one or two fingers! I've heard it over and over. Good times!
