Re: Salt Series
How about an electric blue GITD Pacific Salt? It would be like the bioluminescent algae thats prominent in the pacific ocean. :) Just an idea.
A lot of possibilities with colored glow in the dark FRN. Both blue and pink could be really cool GITD colors!

Re: Salt Series
I would love to see a GITD Salt knife. Bet you can’t guess which model I’d like that in. :D
Re: Salt Series
I got to hold your knife the other day and I must say, regardless of being linerless, it's a nice knife.Surfingringo wrote: ↑Fri May 22, 2020 9:48 amI would love to see a GITD Salt knife. Bet you can’t guess which model I’d like that in. :D
The balance is still not to my liking, not that bad though. A metal backspacer would probably be enough to make it right. I'll be looking into it.
I'm always on board for GITD!

Excuse my ignorance, but what does GITD mean?

Re: Salt Series
Definitely hoping that the Para 3 LW becomes a Salt soon, in LC200N. I'll take the normal FRN/FRCP color as used in the Native 5 Salt.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.
Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.

If we stop and think about it, GITD on a knife for outdoors like this is so logical it baffles me that it is not already released. My Delica is still going strong with no signs of weaking. It will over years, but we are probably talking a long time. GITD has come a long way since we were kids hanging rubber GITD skeletons from the ceilings. My Seamaster watch still glows after 27 or more years. It has only just recently started to decline appreciably. A GITD Siren, Waterway, Pac Salt, Salt, etc. would be just a great idea and in dim light easy to locate (even under water).

Re: Salt Series
This has been discussed here on a number of occasions. Keeping the CBBL rust proof on a Manix Salt could be a challenge. Namely the spring?
I’m certainly not against the idea. I like the CBBL and it would be right up there with the back lock as one of my top choices for a Salt knife. I have actually considered designing another Salt folder around the CBBL, I’m just not sure what the production challenges would be. I like the self close bias of that locking system and I think it is the next safest design for IWB carry (behind the backlock).
Re: Salt Series
the tusk uses a spring and ceramic ball, so it must be a possibility. make the manix 2 lw salt with screws though please. and translucent yellow sounds hideous to me, but i guess we all have opinions and that’s what rit is for.Surfingringo wrote: ↑Sun May 24, 2020 6:15 pmThis has been discussed here on a number of occasions.
