Oddly enough the last few knives I've bought seem like decent keepers if need be:
Busse DS8
Hinderer XM-24 Skinny
Spyderco S90V Ti CF Military
Insert latest Endura sprint here.
Good time to be buying knives IMHO.
If it's four from any brand...
Landi EDC in A2 and Canvas Micarta - Go to EDC knife. It'd be my paring knife too.
Victorinox 10" Chef Knife - Kitchen beast.
Victorinox Swisstool Spirit DLC - Best multitool.
Pacific Salt SE - Favorite folder.
I'd miss my Scrapyard Dogfather, but axes work for that role.
Small - Leafstorm (Techno 2 may unseat)
Medium - Caly 3 or most any Delica
Large - Endura
Fixed - Still carrying the one my grandad made for me in his workshop over 50 years ago.
Try to out love, out serve and out forgive.
My EDC rotation: Urban Elmax, Lil Native backlock, FRN Chaparral
1. Urban K390, for jurisdiction restrictions, non-locking sub three inch. A robust cutter regardless of jurisdiction
(Movie quote bonus pts quiz: "....so my jurisdiction is pretty much in your face.)
2. Native 5 fluted CF S90V/CPM154. The scales are 100% win, and I prefer this steel to the damasteel of the fluted CF 40th anniv. Native.
3. Pacific Salt 1 SE. The large rustproof dynamo
4. South Fork fixed blade. S90V green G10, refined classic design with broad outdoor and household/kitchen/BBQ utility.
I am pleased to be able to use and enjoy many other Spydercos without such restriction.
Note: I almost chose the Medium Spyderco as a new ClipiTool, but the "four Spydies" left room for a SAK as fifth. More tools and versatility then a ClipiTool, and besides, The Native Fluted CF S90V/154.
Small : K390 Urban
Medium : M390 Para2
Large : Cruwear Millie
Fixed : Waterway

Small: Kiwi - most likely my sambar stag one.
Medium: Chaparral - most likely the S30V CF version.
Large: Stretch - most likely the bolstered beauty.
Fixed: Modified K04P "mini Santoku" - it's the single most used knife I own.
I didn't pick a fixed blade for my 4th in my other post. But if I was to adhere to the sm, med, lrg, fixed rule.... HBDFly, FCF Native, Yo2, Ankerson/Sanders Bowie.

Large : Large Lum (Centofante 3 if it needs to be current production)
Fixed : Enuff

A kitchen knife - of course! D’oh!
I *DO* have a Spyderco fixed blade - the Cooks knife and I use it daily.
Why do we miss the bleedin’ obvious?! Also, why not more love generally for the great Spyderco kitchen knives?
Small: Urban LW - probably one of my most used knives. Really hoping to see more sprints with Bohler steels.
Medium: Caly 3.5 Superblue - the one that started it all. Love this design and Superblue is an amazing steel.
Large: Pacific Salt - Not much use with this one but the overall thinness and ergos paired with H1 make it a solid choice.
Fixed: Only Spydie FB I own are Mules. There are some great designs and I'm looking forward to the Waterway but it is often a matter of $$$.
