Putting a V grind on a concex ground knife.

How would one go about doing this?
Just putting a 21 degree v edge on a convex ground bark river. I have an edge pro so im just thinking putting it on 21 degrees and start with the 220 stone and start eating away will I get a V grind.

That's all there is to it. Keep grinding until you hit the edge or start with an angle obtuse enough to hit the apex.

That's how to do it. I recommend always using a guided system for setting it up to keep from grinding too much steel away catching up with the side that is off and then overcompensating and taking to much off the other side. I've freehand sharpened for decades ( since the early 70's) and I've done it. It's very important getting it set at the beginning or it will never seem to match up right.

For those of us who are almost perfectionists when it comes to the edge. Close enough just doesn't cut it.

Depends on how thick the blade is. If it's a real thick blade I probably wouldn't even try because the bevel is going to end up super wide and you'll be grinding forever unless you give it a very steep angle. Be careful not to grind too far on one side so you don't accidentally cross the center line of the blade.
