The Coop is meant to be compact. It's basically a "3-finger" knife with just enough butt to get a fourth finger on the handle when necessary. Over the past 4 years I've built 11 different "small knife" designs in my quest to get it "just right" in my hand and this one is my favorite so far. There's about 2 11/16" allowance for 3 fingers. The measurement is taken from where the pointer finger realistically and comfortably sits.

I appreciate that you created this thread separate from the other fixed blade appreciation thread. Fixed blades cover an incredibly wide world of knife designs but the narrower topic of EDC fixed blade carry has it's own unique considerations that I enjoy seeing people discuss. :)
