Icelantic X Native!?!?!?

#1

Post by Candyman »

Cannot figure out for the life of me how this knife flew under my radar?!?!? I saw someone post about it on a group yesterday and my jaw dropped. Then I saw someone post one back in October last year on a group. Am I missing something? Says it's sold out on https://www.icelanticskis.com/products/ ... tive-knife
Here is thought I kept a pretty good close eye on stuff.

Cubbie blue handle with Cubs logo on the blade and I'm in!

I'll take a Blackhawks version too while we're dreaming!

My guess is that it hasn’t been released yet, and that that is their stock answer when something shows at zero inventory on their website back end.

That's what I was thinking so I called and they said they got them in mid fall and just sold out recently.

Did you try contacting Icelantic Skis dealers for this exclusive?

I tried roughly 30-40 different places on there that had a name that sounded like they might carry knives. Struck out every time.

Strange how it never showed up in the Exclusives section of the Spyderco website.

I have not heard of this one, and that pic is the first I’ve seen of that version. If it shows up as an Exclusive, there will be CC numbered ones available on eBay, etc. I haven’t received any notification so far from my dealer (NGK), and they are incredibly communicative with me on upcoming models.

I didn't even think about that. Perhaps the company just has a laser and did the engraving theirselves?

That was my first thought. I'd guess it's an aftermarket job.

Bump this up hoping to find out whether these were aftermarket or done in house.
