The only linerless Native5 that I know of are Fluted TI, Fluted CF (S90V and Damascus) and KC Exclusive S90V/Forest Green G-10. Perhaps Spyderco is now making the production G-10 model with S35VN without liners? You could probably tell from the weight. The one with steel liner weighs 3.7 ounces whereas the KC one weighs just 2.95 ounces.

Interesting for sure. If this is a permanent CQI change to the C41GP5 I'm not sure I like it. I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm all for more linerless versions of the N5 but I don't think they should completely replace the liner versions.

I agree. They should make both models, that is, G-10 with and without liners.

By the way, it's CQI (Constant Quality Improvement) not QCI. :)

The 2018 Catalog says C41GP5 has full skeletonized stainless steel liners and weighs 3.7 ounces.

If this is the case I’d like to pick one up. I’ve been begging for more linerless knives for a while. Again, if I can manage to score one in Canada.

I hope this knife is a gateway blade to many more linerless G-10 models, both from Golden as well as Japan

That sure looks linerless from those latest pictures. Probably weighs about 2.95 ounces like my linerless KC Native5.

I guess the question is whether it'll replace the one with skeletonized liners or be a separate model?

Interesting!! Looks legit for sure, and I find it fascinating a CQI change like might have rolled through without being announced! I’m actually hoping there’s a few less N5 variants released this year, and if so, definitely sporting some new steels not used before (please no more S90V!!). :)
