I am trying to fill in some gaps in my knife collection. What version of the dragonfly 2 do people like the most?I've been looking at the zdp, vtoku2 and H1 (don't work around salt water but like the yellow).

Super Blue/FRN is my front runner followed by the G10, the HAP40 is nice too.

I am perfectly happy with my Zome vg10. Been tempted by other steels but the one dragonfly fits my collection well.

I agree with Dan--the Super Blue and HAP-40 D'fly2s were very popular (likely because they were limited edition Sprints). Generally speaking, a lot of folks seem to like the Salt version for general daily use. The G-10 model is also fairly popular.

all of the above! my very first spydie was a DF2 Salt that I ordered to the beach house I was staying at with Amazon Prime same day after I saw a shark in the water! Lol. I wanted something small and rustproof to clip to my boardshorts without terrifying other beachgoers! :D

i have since picked up the superblue, hap40, and zome (soon to be sold though...not a fan) versions. I have a Vtoku on preorder and G10 in the mail.

i suggest waiting to grab a vtoku when they drop. they will hold/increase their value and the steel is supposed to be comparable to superblue. great frn color as well.

I'd say the current ZDP189 version is just about perfect for the platform. It cuts forever and the BRG color is tasteful IMO. My orange VG10 was my gateway drug, but if I had to pick one...

Do you have a hawkbill yet? You could try the hawkbill Salt. I want one too, come to think of it.

I love anything in SB but I by far carry my ZDP Dfly the most. I usually have a Dragonfly somewhere on me because it isn't always
appropriate to whip out a Military to cut a string. I have gifted one to all of the people in my family who carry knives but I have
a special fondness for ZDP even if I can't sharpen it worth a dang. Depending on how much you use it you may never even need to
sharpen it. It seems to hold an edge forever.

The ZDP-189 hits a sweet spot for me with the steel. I missed the HAP40 and im sure they are awesome. As far as scale material goes, FRN models are very light and are joy to carry even as a secondary blade. The stainless models are thinner than the FRN and G10 and features an hourglass clip that is longer than the wire clips. Can't go wrong with any and you will probably end up with more than one.

My favorite is the foliage green G10 version. However, I get a lot of carry time with the uber light weight FRN versions (choose your color).

I'd recommend the Hawkbill Dragonfly Salt or the ZDP 189 Dragonfly. Both will serve you well.... Of course the Vtoku sprint would be nice too. Careful this is how I ended up with 6 of them ;)

I wish Spyderco made a Dragonfly XL.

I know that defeats the purpose of the Dragonfly being a little big knife, but I think it'll be awesome as something around the size of a Delica.

I mean it's such a good looking knife. The proportions look great and the contouring of the handles are super comfortable.

You're right. That's probably the closest in the line up so far. However I can't help but think that the Chappy will be a tad too small for me. Even the Delica is just a touch small(I'm just being picky here haha).

Not at all :D Although if the chap and delica are small for you, maybe ask for a dragonfly xxl, I know Vivi would want one.

I love the yellow handle. So its a H1 plain edge.

But i want a better steel so soon i will look for an addition. Not figured out yet which.
