Is it worth it?

I was at a Local Shop and was trying to buy a Carbon Fiber Civilain with a full spyder edge for $175 + Tax and that crap.. (US Dollars) Well since i used my Debit card so much that day they Wouldnt let me charge it even thought i had ALOT of money left... Neither here nor there but it was an Impulse Buy so i thought i would check in that Price before i go back in with cash..

Now another queston, Would you buy a Limited edition knife for about $50 more than the original to be your carry knife? This will be carried along with an Endura that ive been using for over 1yr now and im getting tired of it. I mostly want the knife because of its looks. I know that the Blade isnt that strong for Utility use but mostly the Civilain would be for looks and "Showing off" (Not to be childish but im 29 and i still like to show off!! :D )

So pretty much, Would you buy a Limited Edition Carbon Fiber Civilain for $175 and carry it around?

Yes. Then again, I'm a Spydie Nut. ;-)

Honestly, $175 sounds like a good deal to me. When I bought my Civilian (G-10 handle), I paid €246. Back then, around $240, and that ain't no collector's piece.

Do you Carry your Civilain? They also have the one with the G-10 for $145 so i may just go with that so i dont worry as much... Yet the Limited edition looks really nice!

To some <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>Knuts, it may be worth it. But it sounds like a little high to me.

I saw a numbered CF Civilian for only $130 at a gun show, but I didn't have the $$$ to get it. <img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> I suppose that it's your prerogative.

I have a G10 Civvie(my second), but don't carry it for EDC. This is NOT an EDC for everyday use. It was designed for one purpose only...self defense. Any other use than that will void the warranty, as stated in the papers that accompany the Civvie.

I wouldnt Use it, it would be carried along with my endura so i would use the endura for utility..

Now since you have had 2 maby you can tell me this.. Which would you rather carry every everyday, The G-10 or a CF? In my case i wouldnt be buying it to re-sell it later but i would hate to put wear marks on a Limited Edition Piece that looks as good as this..
