Absolutely. I love this knife, and not just for work.Joris Mo wrote: I think many will agree that the Delica Wharnie should be included in the FRN Japanese family sprints from now on.. :D

Re: VTOKU Sprint Run
I want 2 Enduras and 2 Stretch. Possibly a Dragonfly and or a Manbug. This will be a great sharpening steel and should have the edge stability to go real thin. I can't see it having less wear resistance than super blue despite the 1% less tungsten. It should be fun to try different geometries and finishes on. It will handle any of them I'd guess. Carbon Tungsten steels are some of the best cutlery steels going IMO and couple that with Takefu's quality/cleanness and it will be something people will want to return to in the future just as Super Blue is now. The price is amazing as well. I hope they made a trainload of them.

That's very encouraging Joe! Looking forward to using this steel! The Mastiff wrote:I want 2 Enduras and 2 Stretch. Possibly a Dragonfly and or a Manbug. Re: VTOKU Sprint Run
Cool, what I read is that the steel looks like 52100 in its components and properties, I follow what I read for I am not familiar with it yet.
Curious about the choice for SUS310 too. Maybe it goes better with vtoku in the treatment-process.
I want just one of those sprintmodels, preferably a larger model, Stretch or Endura, to play with.

How about zero grind / scandi for the emerson opener? The steel can take it I assume .

And I’ll be buying a Stretch. Going to put in a preorder now.levs18 wrote:Emerson endura!!!! That would be amazing and I know I’ll buy at least 2.
The first time I saw a Spyderco was the early 90s at a knife shop in a mall. I can still see the SpydieHoles through that glass display cabinet. My parents wouldn't buy any of them for me... so now I buy them all. :spyder:
Re: VTOKU Sprint Run
How about we get a little crazy and do a run of waved FRN Police 4's in this steel? :D
I'd settle for a regular FRN Police 4 of course :)

Re: VTOKU Sprint Run
Delica wave would be nice or D'allara 3 would be too
Re: VTOKU Sprint Run
If I can afford it as I am trying to purchase my first house this year, I would like to get the Delica.

Not too many steels will support a zero rind for general use.

How about a spear point, like the emerson, but without the wave? It looks really nice with the exception of that darn wave.sal wrote:Hi Chris, anagarika wrote:Sal,sal wrote:We d have some variations in blades on some of these models. eg: Delica Warnie, hawkbills, Emerson openers, etc. Any interest in adding those?

Re: VTOKU Sprint Run
The only version variation I would want to see (provided I like the steel) is a PE Hawkbill of either the Ladybug or even possibly a PE Lil Matriarch variant?

I'll likely be snatching up the Endura or Stretch.

I've never had an Endura, so this may be the time!
