The knife is full serrated with a rivet for the pivot,i like it a lot for edc.
How old can that knife be?

Can you post a picture? Does it say salt 1 on the blade or on the handle?

Is there an H1 on the blade? If so those came out around 2004 or so, That’s when I purchased mine and they switched from etching “salt 1” on the blade to “H1” on the blade which is the rust proof steel type.

There is H1 that changes color when you move the blade, this knife is practicaly in new condition, fell very solid,no play anywhere, impressive for a knife that old

That's one of the best knives you can get for EDC. I carry the larger version, the Pacific Salt, every day.
Whenever it needs sharpened, look up the Spyderco Sharpmaker. It makes it just as easy as sharpening a non-serrated blade.

I'm in the same boat, I really like how light my salts are.
