Diversification good or bad?

#1

Post by sc_rebel1957 »

Yep guys I'm awake at 5.30 on a sunday morning trying to swallow enough of the better halfs WEAK coffee and get busy.

Recently I've been trading around on some of the models I have more than 1 of.

You all know I buy 2 of anything lol, do any of you do this?

I try to stick to <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>s or B/Ms but I'm honestly looking forward to the Specwar coming this tuesday <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>.

I recently bought my third Spyderco (old Rescue) and as far I had not enough money to buy too of the same, but I'm considering that too, but I would buy the same knife with another blade (SE or PE or PSE, steel, etc.)

Diversification (if you mean buying other brands) is good, because it makes you appreciate just how good Spydies really are.

Am I right or am I right? <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

As you probably know, I recently got a Kershaw Chive (and I'm very pleased of it). I say that diversification is good.
Just imagine that tomorrow all other brands would dissapear and only Spyderco would remain on the market. Though I am a devoted Spyderco fan, I think it would be an awful thing to happen for knives in general.

A rare MicroTech SOCOM Elite would tickle my fancy!...pricey though they are, the quality is astonishing. I hear there is a MiniMT Elite on the cards. Pix show the older SOCOM and the newer Elite...drool.

I diversify a lot, as <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> doesn't make a range of slipjoints yet. While I love a good <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>, a nice cocobolo Q Muskrat warms the ol' ticker nicely. <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Never underestimate the impossible.
