Mine came today too ghost and nice pics, funny I didn't even notice the lack of lanyard hole until you mentioned it. This is such a sweet piece I went ahead and ordered a second.

The Delica is my favorite knife that Spyderco makes. I had to order one of these with the wood handles. When it arrived, I was so happy that I ordered an Endura. Note: I'm not that much of an Endura guy but the quality is so good had to get it.

Since there's no lanyard hole I went ahead and changed the clip to one without the hole. Hole in the clip didn't really bother me but since I had the extra clip I figured why not.
Of all the things I've lost I miss my mind the most!

What's interesting is that the stainless steel liners appear to be drilled for a lanyard hole in the scales... so someone could put a lanyard hole there in the scales if wanted. I like it without since I never use a lanyard.
I didn't even pay attention to the lack of lanyard hole till now.... I guess I don't use lanyards on knives much either. Or at all.
This is my first Delica, and I love it so far (very new!) I already want an FRN-one, just to feel a little more like a beater. But I don't have any drawer-queens.... Just knife acquisition syndrome.

I did it in reverse, got the Endura first and I just ordered the Delica. Can't wait! :)
