I wish Endura G-10 was still in production

I wish Endura G-10 was still in production. I guess spyderco Mili is the alternative, but I already have one ordered. The rest of folders with the comparable blade length are so much more expensive, or made in China with so so steel.
Was Endura G-10 bad seller or something?

It sold poorly, probably due to cost. At the time it was made it had an MSRP of $199, while the VG-10 FRN Endura had an MSRP of $95. Street prices of both were obviously lower, but proportional, and I suspect that most folks felt no need to pay a bit more than twice as much for the G-10 version. Similar situation with the G-10 Delica at $180 vs $90 for the FRN.

I can't remember if there was talk about doing a sprint with G-10. That might be the best for everyone, but it might not sell super fast.

With all due respect and understanding, what is it about the FRN handle on the Endura that you prefer the G10 to? Is it that the G10 has a rougher and more robust grip to it, or what? Just wondering so I can know what people think about various handle materials.

I would be all over one, with Blood Red G10 with YXR7 steel.
Or Foliage Green and ZDP.

I actually wish that Spyderco would offer everything that they make with FRN handles to also be available in G-10 handles as well. I really don't have a bone to pick with FRN handles because I do own quite a few of them and use some of them often.
But like the Brother prefers the Endura with a G-10 handle I can only imagine how much nicer that a Spyderhawk and/or Tasman would be with a G-10 handle. Because a lot of the guys like myself use their blades in their vocation and everyday jobs. And G-10 just feels a lot more confident to me personally. Yeah I can see where your coming from for sure

I'll have to settle for a police 4 in the mean time.

My point exactly! Just because they were Enduras and Delicas, folks assumed they should only cost $10 or $20 more than the FRN versions. The reality was that their expectations were unrealistic. The 2009 MSRP prices for the G-10 Endura and Delica were actually a bit lower than those of other G-10/VG-10 midlock Spydercos from the same Japanese maker, G Sakai. The Police 3 was $220 and the Civilian was $270.
Bring them back today in VG-10 and, assuming roughly the same relationship between the FRN and G-10 versions, you'd be looking at street prices of around $138 for the Delica and $!45 for the Endura. Make them in one of the exotic stainless or high end carbon steels and the prices would be even higher. Either way, I'd bet money that a fair percentage of the folks who say they want one would label them "overpriced" and pass.

I've been focusing on my endura collection lately, would love to pick up a g10 version. I enjoy having a cara cara 1and 2.

This is good news. If the steel is solid slab and not a clad, it becomes great news

I had a G-10 endura and sold it. I kind of regret that, but the guy I sold it too is really, really into it, and definitely appreciates it more than I did.
I'd love to see an Endura sprint with k390 (the endura seems like a natural fit for that steel), but I don't think that's really possible because of the geography of production.

I would still buy it if it was vg10 but an upgrade would be nice. I noticed spyderco shipped some s30v to Japan last year so who knows what it could be?

Sal, if I may ask, while we are on the topic of Endura variations, sometime back I read some claim floating around, of talks regarding a possible Endura and Delica duo with Liner Locks instead of Back Locks, and, FRN handles and/or G10 handles. Was this anything potentially real or was it just discussion, and is it unlikely to ever come to be? I also remember someone saying they would prefer the back lock to stay because they thought a liner lock may close on the fingers.

I far prefer the back lock to the liner lock.

Very exciting news! Super Gold back on the table by chance? :D

No liner locks, please!
I am happy to read that there is to be a new G10 Sprint. At one time, wasn't there to be a Super Gold version that was canned because of the difficulty getting the steel?
I wonder what the new steel could be?
