I have the hots for a blackhawk. Does anyone have any kind or unkind words. Apparently available now only in PS. Good looking knife, G10 scales and the right size.

You can find old stock in PE.I had one.Nice knife but I like the Native better.

I learn something new everyday, even though I don't want to. Jeff

I got the Renegade, but if a more

rational sized blade is your forte,

then the Blackhawk is the ONLY "way to

fly" (pun intended<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) P&S/CE is also

a good compromise IMO for those who(m)

can't decide on PE or SE. G-10 kicks

@$$ compared to

FiberglassReinforcedNylon (FRN) too!

fredswartz: I had the Renegade and it's a great knife. I love the clip point, but the long blade may be a bit unwieldy.
Too bad I love my Starmate more <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Fred - the C23 & C24 Renegade and Black Hawk are both excellent knives. They were initially introduced in the 90's and been offered for just a short period. Altough the Bowie blade style is typical American, it showed that it is also very much considered to be BIG and straight by the knife comunity at that time. Having a folding Bowie was not what people appreciated then. In 2001 Spyderco came up on a forgotten batch of part for these knives in their Golden Facility. These knives are being marketed until the parts run out. No specifics of how many could be assembled form the mistery parts. Again an other Spydie with a story and bound to become a sought after collector knife. Get one now!!

Clipits work!

I got one last night! Thanks for all the help. I didn't know about assembling the found parts for the latest run, just that they they had been re-introduced. The Renegade seemed kinda big but the Blackhawk looks right.
