Hello, as a G-10 Civilian owner, I am very interested in checking out some of the older incarnations of this model. Anyone have any idea if/where these can be purchased? I'd imagine there is a hefty markup, which is actually fine.

eBay has them all the time. The markup actually isn't as bad as you might think.
