Black FRN and FFG listed on their 'Coming Soon' page. Has anyone heard anything about this?

Agreed! I'd like to see a dark blue like they use on the Native 5 & Manix 2 LWs.

That is interesting. Black? Really? But, that is what it says on the website.

Sal dropped a bomb shell and there was a short thread last month. I've been reading.

Thanks Donut, now that I see it again I remember that thread.

Many people have been asking for a Caly 3 with new steel. This UKPK is one way of doing it while bypassing the Caly's production difficulties in Japan... If you are looking for an affordable, no-nonsense but high performance EDC, this would certainly qualify. Maybe one day we'll see a G10 version again.

Great news for our brothers in UK and for people, who feel that N5 LW S110V is too expensive. I personally do not need any new slippie, even if it reminds me my beloved Caly3. I would rather chase used N5 with s110V than get new UKPK.

My top choices Natives5, Calys, C83 Persian

I agree 100%. Luckily, I stocked up on some G-10 UKPK's. Now that I think of it, maybe the UKPK is what made me fall in love with the Caly 3.

Whatever happened to that one of a kind slipjoint Native 5? That could be interesting, especially in Maxamet or S110V. :)

Wow I'm glad to see it on a page but I'm a little confused about the color. Obviously I like black handle scales but I was expecting the dark blue frn. Seems kind of strange to change gears like that but I'll take an s110v ukpk any way I can get it. Also glad to see that it's going to be the leaf shape blade.

Maybe bladehq has it wrong and it won't be black. Websites were wrong about the diamond pattern on the PM2 cruwear. I'll just wait to see.

I was hoping for the blue scales when I saw Sal's post about this knife. Now I am a bit let down, but will still get one.

Blade hq has the color wrong. Just look at the model number it has a "dbl" in it which designates "dark blue".

Also looks like National's price point is more in line with what it actually will be. BHQ's post makes it seem like it would be the same price as the standard production model. MAP at $84 for me is a tad steep, but will get one being a Golden :spyder: with a great steel.

It's looking like it.

If it is the dark blue I'll probably end up getting one of these. I like the size, ergos, etc of the UKPK/Caly so this should be a nice addition to my user collection.
