I think I'm in Love!
I received this one in the mail yesterday. All I can say is wow!!! For someone who once thought he only wanted smaller knives (blades 3" or less) I sure am starting to appreciate larger knives. I still carry my smaller knives more often than the bigger ones but this might change that.

In my opinion this knife will be one of he most sought after knives in a few years. And they will be extremely rare because no one will want to let theirs go. It's such a great classic Soyderco.

Congrats, man! The GB1 is a superb piece and is a must-have for any true spydernut.
In addition, I believe that the GB1 carries a fantastic value for the money (similar to the PM2). Enjoy!

Don't have the GB1 but I am in love with my GB2
Re: I think I'm in Love!
I was torn between the GB1 & GB2. After reading a bunch on both knives I decided the GB1 is the one to get now. I know at least one dealer still shows them in stock but I figured I better gethan one while I still can. One was for sale for a couple days on BF. The price was right so I bought it. Very glad I did, it looks like new.swigert wrote:In my opinion this knife will be one of he most sought after knives in a few years. I'll probably end up with a GB2 at some point too!Spydergirl88 wrote:Don't have the GB1 but I am in love with my GB2

Congrats! GB1 is king. Every time I see a good deal on the exchange it takes great restraint not to buy another backup. Man I love that knife.

I received this one yesterday too. I like the Delica and didn't have anything with H1 or serrations. This one's going to see a lot of use around the house.

Re: I think I'm in Love!
This is how I was when I first started accumulating Spyderco's, mostly only interested in the smaller knifes. It probably took me two years before I finally gave in and bought a Military and the GB1, after that my focus has gravitated towards the larger blades. Congrats on the GB, probably one of if not the best bang for the buck Spyderco out there. I also have had a hard time not pulling the trigger on a backup GB1. I did by the GB2 but dont carry it, just like the GB1 better.Sharp Guy wrote:I received this one in the mail yesterday. All I can say is wow!!! Happy to be part of this great forum and group of down to earth spyderco addicts, Thanks Sal and gang.

Re: I think I'm in Love!
I love my GB1. Actually i like it so much, i couldn't resist getting a backup. Funny Thing was, the backup that i bought 2 months ago was from 2009, must have been one from the first run without the GB Logo and the blade only saying Taiwan. I've let this one go and got me a newer one... starting to regret it now... however, the one from 2015 is great as well! Got the GB2 as well, but it just doesn't feel the same - great knife nevertheless.
