Exciting, Chinook with a powerlock!

Not exactly about to drop, still 6 months out according to the video.

Tip up only? Meh... I'm getting old. At least it's not a flipper. I do want it but I have a feeling price is gonna be the deciding factor on this one for me. Time will tell. :)

Not crazy at all. I wish all they did was take a 2 and make it longer. Ffg is nice and all but i prefer the hollow grind on the 2 more.

Call me crazy but since this is a Nippon model I would have preferred VG10

Very interested in this one, although it appears to lack jimping? Hopefully that's due to its prototype nature. Always down for another interesting back lock, but I'm on the fence. Price will also be a decider, interesting that it's S30V from Japan, and worried that the MSRP will be commensurately higher like we've seen.

The Chinook was before my time but folks around here seem to hold it in high regard so I'm excited to get my hands on one. The power lock looks interesting and seems effective. I really really like the look of the blade on that thing. I really hope it's not tip up only though. I guess it's a design choice due to its size?

I've exchanged handshakes with Eric on a few occasions, but based on my own hand size, I'd say he probably wears a size "large" in men's gloves. I'm only estimating, of course.

Cool. I should have said "because his hands seem to fit well on the Chinook 4" instead of sounding a bit stalkery!!

I'm looking forward to adding this one to my collection, never held one before but it looks like my kinda knife, I like larger blades and am excited to try out a new lock.
Happy to be part of this great forum and group of down to earth spyderco addicts, Thanks Sal and gang.
