Hey Colt, welcome to the forum. You will most likely get people preferring the PE over the CE. As one of the few on this forum who use and appreciate CE's let me say that the Delica works well like this. I have used mine CE Foilage Green extensively and there wasn't anything I threw at it that it didn't do. I also have used the CE Stainless Steel handled model extensively. The Black balded CE Delica 4 in my jacket pocket has never been used and I hope it never is. It is an emergency only knife.

In general I have found that a longer blade will be a better compromise for CE (Endura, Millitary, Manix 2) but don't let that dissuade you. I have been looking at the CE Native 5 and will add one to the stable pretty soon.

It might help to know what you plan on using the knife for, general purpose, self defense, specific role.

For the vast majority of EDC tasks, the plain edge will be more than adequate and the serrations don't add anything worth the extra hassle in sharpening or loss of edge length. That said, if you're cutting rope or something similar, the CE may be for you. Generally, if something needs serrations, I use a saw or a fixed blade instead.
Like akaAK said, it'd help for us to know for what purpose the knife is intended.

I have the black CE Delica 4 and I do like it. The looks of it are particularly cool. I think you could do most things with this knife. I do agree, however, that the PE version gives you more blade length for slicing. I like lots of blade length and smooth slicing, so my plain edge knives get more pocket time, especially my HAP40 Endura.

I would love it if they would make a FFG TiCN black Delica in HAP40, how awesome would that be? :spyder:  :spyder:

I prefer my teeth on a separate knife, try a ladybug hawkbill if you need teeth.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)
