I'm also waiting for impressions. Surprised we haven't seen any yet.

I handled the Pattada at the OKCA knife show. Wasn't planning on purchasing this knife but after having it in hand I will now be purchasing one. In all honesty it will probably spend most of its time sitting on my desk opening mail and other miscellaneous tasks. Its life of desk duty isn't because it wouldn't be capable of full time EDC duties I just simply have to many knives and I attempt to find specific uses for each new one I acquire. From what I remember it is deceptively long but disappears in your pocket. Handle fills my medium sized hands perfectly and the knife balances very nicely. Fit and finish were top notch and I can't wait to see some photos of people putting their Pattada to use.

Must be a rarity knife. Nobody has one on here, that surprises me. :)

I think the price may be a hindrance. You can get a Military with better steel or an Endura much cheaper and they are in the same size range. However, I would buy one if it were about $50 cheaper.

I handled one of these on Friday. It's really, really nicely built. It's larger than I thought it would be, but not super huge. It's a very nice knife, and I can see the appeal for some folks, but if I wanted a Spyderco with a blade that long I think I'd get an Endura or a Military. This knife is probably an acquired taste, and almost certainly a knife to be handled before purchase.

I'm much more enthusiastic about the Pattada after seeing some of the videos of this knife. The contouring and finish of the G10 looks much better than the catalog pictures lead on.

I'm going to order one when I get home from work today. I'll let you know how I like it.

In the meantime, KeithKevinKen has a lovely video about the Pattada on his YouTube page.

Not my style, non leaf blade, and too big IMO, for a wire clip...but was thinking of picking one up as a gift, a friend of mine is in the produce business, and I was also, about 30 years ago, but I remember they all carried longer thin blades, and in Milwakee they were all Italian...so this seems like a perfect fit.

Go Wikipedia "Resolza"; that'll give you an idea of the origin of the knife. Resolza is a name for traditional Sardinian knives, and Pattada is a place that produces a particular pattern of them.

I tried it in the pocket, and it worked surprisingly well.

I can say that of the ethnic series Spyderco knives that I've handled, this is one I'd buy, and possibly buy first.

I would prefer a black clip rather than polished. Does the factory outlet sell them? I have a few polished wire clipped knifes I would like to swap the clip for the black one. Thanks

You can buy black wire clips from the SFO.

I think the Pattada looks great. I checked it out at the SFO. It is sleek and stabby. I liked it and think it will carry very easily in the pocket. I would love to see more contoured handles on Spydies.

My son and daughter gave me one for Father's Day (I ordered it as soon as I got an email from a dealer :D ). Just arrived yesterday. Handle could be a little more grippy but it is plenty long and has some 3-D countouring instead of flat slabs. Curve near the pinky feels good. Overall steady in the hand due to its ergonomic shape. I like the blade shape. I'll have to be careful with the tip- pretty pointy. Be careful touching the tip to see how sharp it is! Opens and closes easily. Locks up VERY early, which I like.
