OK collectors, who has this old sharpener?

#1

Post by bdblue »

Watching the recent video of the shop tour they talked a little bit about the old sharpeners and how one model was introduced at the Texas State Fair in the 1970's. Well I remembered going to the Texas State Fair and buying a sharpener but I didn't recall that it was a Spyderco brand. I dug it out of the drawer and sure enough it said Spyderco on the label in smaller print.

Thx for posting! This is a very sweet piece of Spyderco history! Never saw the original and I love the instructions made on a old type writer, makes me wonder if Gayle or Sal made those by hand, sort of custom paperwork :)

that's awesome. I love my sharpmaker, and this is like it's great grandfather.
