this wretched "State" around April of

this year, have been here eight ( count'

em!) month(s). I have forthwith drawn

these following conclusion(s) :


* "Service" - Don't expect ANYTHING

in short order HERE ; You can be in

a Dr.s office for up to an hour past

your scheduled "appointment" time.


The yokel(s) I've met here in "south"

Florida have a goddamn pompous

"attitude"( and with "Holier Than

Thou" piety yet!<img src="sad.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) Word(s) like

"legitimate" ( SPARE ME!) "lawful"

"legal" seem to be these yokel(s)

quip whenst dealing with them. Also

word(s) like "opportunity" ( and in

this "barren wasteland" none of the

kind exists <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>) seem to be the order

of the day. You can get better "help"

from the local Burger King than, from

any Dr.s, Lawyer(s) & Indian Chief(s)

( oops! "Old Hickory"( Andrew Jackson

when he commanded troops in his


"campaign" against the creek & red

stick "injuns" in the early 19th

Century decimated their ranks.( even

burned down an injun village & named

it "Jacksonville" ( and if some of you

whenst visiting this "state" :

Avoid, if at all POSSIBLE : hotels,

motels, bars/nightclubs, and other

"legitimate" establishment(s) as they

are nothing more than "tourist trap(s)"

and "grind joint(s)" that will cause a

"mammon vacuum" <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> in your pocket(s)!

Avoid "playa's" ("little racket(s)"<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>)

that will give you "hard luck" stories

like :"Can you $pare $5 ( NOT a dime,

mind!) I'm hungry" -or- "I need bus

fare!" -or- just plain "ask" for

mammon is rather a pedestrian occurence

whenst in this "state"; As for the

"legitimacy" of most (9/10th's) of the

inhabitant(s) are so goddamn crooked

they'll have to corkscrew the lot of

them in the ground whenst they die!<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

You're not alone in the bad Dr. service department, ATE. Just last week, my maternal parental unit went to an appointment, had to wait 2 hrs., then got treated as if it were her fault! (It wasn't, by the way.)

Our conversation left me on the road to work jammin' to BOC's "On Your Feet or on Your Knees" and reflecting on the merits of FL. Have to say the Emerald Coast is my preferred stomping ground in the sunshine state. Between Pensacola NAS, Eglin AFB, and Tyndal AFB the military seems to keep the sugar crystal beaches up there a mite cleaner from the riff-raff you bespeak! VA and Mil hospitals are a bit better also. Alas, improvement cannot be expected. As long as you have no income taxes and a burgeoning welfare system, the ranks of pandering freebooters will multiply and task the "legitimate" public services. Can't say where any one place is better than the other though. Seems everyplace has its good and its bad. Dann's invite sounds good to me since Chinook hasn't arranged housing for me and Chuck up on the Oregon coast yet. Olympic penninsula is God's secret fall retreat and the glockman guards the entryway well. Maybe we should all have a <img src="spyder.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> camp-in some day up there. Java the Younger says thanks for the advice and he doesn't touch the stuff - can barely get him to sample one of my special Cajeta triple shot espresso concoctions! There's still hope for the youngest amongst us! Be catchin' ya later this weekend! Meanwhile, Riddle-Me-this, my esteemed ATE-man, why does Florida have drive throughs at the liquor stores when you're not supposed to drink and drive and then they plaster those Arrive Alive - Don't Drink and Drive bumper stickers everywhere.
