I'm definitely a bit jealous my Box Elder 31 has the all matte finish and not the polished. I love that contrast on the clip side.

Vacation this week, picked up a Bugout after we got in. I’m liking it a lot more than I thought I would.

Bugout is one of the best EDCs of all time IMO, especially after a scale upgrade. I like the Ti and CF best, but be aware that micarta has more flex than the stock grivory.

Quiet Carry Drift (Vanax) and GM Ace Grand (V4E) today. Really enjoying both of these - which is why I'm sitting here fiddling with both of them today.

I don't carry mine as much as I should, but when it goes in pocket it tends to stay for weeks.

I'm a big fan of the aluminum Aimfront scales...they are still less than $60, and are just an Idahoan firefighter family machining Bugout scales.

I'll definitely check those out!

I went in looking to compare a 940 and the new Buck 110 Slim Pro. They didn't have a green 940, and the Slim Pro just wasn't quite as nice as I wanted. I do like the featherweight of the stock FRN scales, and don't mind the subtle flex one bit.

I've got the weight difference written down somewhere at home, but it is minimal. I was very concerned about weight when switching scales, and the Aimfronts are heavily milled.

I'll update with the numbers later...

I had the green 940 but gifted it when I got the 940-1...they are both fantastic knives. On a side note, I wish Spyderco would start using more aluminum, it's an excellent scale material.

I was glad to see them using it on the BHQ PM2's, and hope it means we'll start seeing it a bit more.

Agreed - Aluminum seems to offer most of the benefits of titanium at a much cheaper price.

The wear on those scales with that stonewashed blade look perfect together!

Most of the credit goes to Hinderer's "Working Finish", but plenty also from being my yard work/project knife for a few years now. Really love the Sheepsfoot XM!

Last day of work for a week, figured I'd carry a couple beauties to close it out!
