Nice! Just ordered a Northfield trim of that same pattern.
How to those Northwoods cut with the saber grind? I've never spent the additional premium on those becuase I'm unsure of the saber in use. But I love the aesthetics of most of them.

The geometry doesn't lie, thinner FFG blades from of Northfield or Tidouie trims are obviously better slicers. I do love the raw look of the Northwoods knives and haven't noticed any flaws in the design, however I don't pull my traditional knife as my first choice to slice cardboard. The fine point of the Hawthorne and the long slim handle are what make those single blade trappers probably my favorite of traditionals.

I love the single blade trappers too. That slim clip is so elegant. I just got good deals on green pickle bone #48's, one a single blade trapper and one an improved trapper. Have a full Damascus copy of a case slimline trapper from Hawes as well. I might get one of those Northwoods and one of the Boker's in Damascus and ebony before they dry up.

Received a Nirvana from Peter Rassenti today. This is his updated design. It’s smaller than the Spyderco Nirvana but packs a punch.

Put the “Lambo” back together. Hard to kick this out of the pocket. Hinderers just scream to be used hard.

Experimenting with a very low grit edge.

I ground off the microbevel on my Voyager using my DMT XX Course. Then used some very light strokes on that stone to eliminate the burr as best I could. It's hair popping sharp straight off my reprofiling stone. Extremely aggressive slicer!

Thinking about trying this sort of edge on my Manix XL, since S30V holds a toothy working edge for a long time.

Impressive! What grit finish would that be approximately?

I've been carrying this lately. I like it.

I made this whistle this afternoon out of a tree branch in the yard, using only the SAK (with the exception of a drill for the hole).

I'd guess in the 250-350 grit range.
