This one now. Snappy little knife! Not sure if the bearings are actually higher quality than some of the others I have but it's really smooth
I was just browsing that Montereybay website looking at those Slaybacks...wishing I didn't. So many different, very intriguing designs and pretty decent prices too. That's a beauty you've got right there!

Fiddleback Forge Hiking Buddy in 8670. Finally got around to sharpening it up this morning, so better give it a little use.

I was doing a little comparison this morning with 4 similar knives. They're all really nice considering the price. Heck I think they're great at any price. I still like the overall design of the Ferrum Forge Gent a little better but the MBK EZC 1.5 has all of them beat in terms of materials and flickiness (yes that's a word...in my mind). They're all really smooth and flip great but the EZC seems like it must use higher quality bearings. It has a stronger detent too. The machined clip is also a nice touch. Although,I like the small discreet clips on the Ferrum Forge knives too. The EZC has M390 blade steel vs S35VN (Gent), Nitro-V (Stinger), and D2 (Elementum). So I assume that's part of the reason for the higher price. All that said, there are features I like about all of these and you can't go wrong with any of them

I think the Knipex Cobra Xs is a good companion to Victorinox Explorer.

Nice kit!
How do you like the Cobra XS?
I'm considering getting one myself. At right around 2oz, it's actually possible to carry this together with a plierless MT, and keep the weight at or even below the same weight as a mid sized plier based MT.

Thanks! I like it, it opens wider than other pliers based MTs, and it is smaller and much lighter. I carry it on my bike rides/commutes. Just learned how to do one hand opening from this video: https://i.imgur.com/kkZiwEt.mp4https:// ... kZiwEt.mp4
