a really easy sprint to run

#1

Post by twinboysdad »

Watching Evil D's SE sharpening video has me jonesing for a SE Millie. There would be nothing to running a small batch of Millies in the existing black G10 and s30v in SE, say like 300-500. There is no doubt they would sell, especially if M4 and a different color G10 were used but I digress. I am not a PM2 fan but would be all over that model in SE, which would be cool because it was never done. The materials exist, the tooling is there in Golden, I really want one of these! So 1st choice would be a Millie in new steel full SE, but would still be thrilled for a plain jane stock as is Millie in s30v...am I alone?

I'd have been in if I hadn't just bought this one. I would assume they would need to be at least a different color G10 to qualify as a sprint, and I think very small batches would be a relatively safe bet.

I would love a SE Millie or para 2 as well. I was just looking at the new catalog wondering if it would be possible. Even if it was only a new color of g10 so it qualifies as a sprint I think these would move pretty fast.

I think it would be a good reason to up the toughness. Maybe a 3V serrated Military.

Orange handles, anyone? :)

That sounds awesome,

and I just had a vision of a SE TUFF and I think I blacked out for a second.

I have a collector SE Military and a beater, but a Sprint still interests me. I would like to see a steel variation and some Navy Blue G-10

I would like to (and would definitely buy) a serrated pm2 with a large pe section at the tip kind of like the native.

Sal,

First, Merry Christmas to you and yours. Second, any interest in throwing us a SE Millie sprint? Would it be as easy as just flipping a switch to SE on the current Millies. How many would you have to make to justify the time and expense if we were simply talking same G10 and s30v that is currently being run?

I am definitely in. I used to have a SE Millie and I have never forgiven myself for trading it. I don't really care what steel/handle color is used--I just think it's time to get another one.

Serrated M4,3v or Cruwear would be cat's meow in a PM2 with dark purple G10.

Given how stable the apex has been on my CruWear Millie, and that it's literally halved when ground from one side in the serrated platform, I can't help but wonder how well a SE Millie in CruWear would perform. Where do I sign?

Wait, video?!
On my radar: 110V Military, Police 4 and some sweet Rex 45 Military action.

Newest Spydies: S90v Ti Military, Pacific Salt and a special Kiwi.

A SE Military or especially a PM2 in a tough steel would be irresistible !

I'm gonna play devil's advocate here: I think that production out of Golden is already strained, and the Military (though I love it too) is a little less popular than other golden models (thus there are fewer military sprints in general). I'd really prefer a military

I'd prefer to see a Spyderhawk reproduction.
I'm happiest with Micarta and Tool Steel.

Top four in rotation: K390 + GCM PM2, ZCarta Shaman, Crucarta PM2, K390 + GCM Straight Spine Stretch.
