In memory of 9/11, I took my Spyderco World Trade Center Knife out of its box and EDCed it today in rememberance of those who lost their lives thirteen years ago.

Thank you for your reply!

I must say I'm rather surprised that I'm the first to make such a post on this day at such a late hour... I would've done so earlier, but had just got back from work when I did... next time I'll do as I did in the past and post this message earlier!

Please... let's NEVER FORGET and NEVER FORGIVE... otherwise, we're doomed to repeat history... YET AGAIN!

I just got back from the SFO with my second WTC, #1805. I carried my first WTC (#0121) for most of today.

Yes, I'm surprised someone hadn't posted earlier. Today is still very emotional for me, and I fear many don't maintain the importance of today's events. I wasn't aware of Spyderco when the WTC knives were first released, and regretted not being able to get one. After seeing Spyderco's facebook post about the re-release, and showing it, along with the story behind it, to my wife. I was hoping she would aprove me getting one. She ordered one. I am one lucky guy. Not sure if it will be for birthday or Christmas, but I will have one eventually.
I carried my Forum Native today. I thought that was the most appropriate knife in my collection for today.

Several people including Sal made comments about today in other threads like the "What Spyderco are you carrying today" one...

As an employee of a federal facility, reminders were everywhere of what anniversary it is :(. My heart goes out to everyone affected, I heard that one in five Americans knew someone that was lost that day. Truly tragic. I'm glad Spyderco released more WTC commemorative knives, good form. Cheers, Radioactive :)

I was a little surprised about that too, Water Bug. I posted something similar about today under the Off Topic section with about the same results. (By the way, thanks for your response, Landon! :) )

Regardless, I would like to say that most of us will always remember the special significance of today and what it represents... Never forget.

Thank you for your reply, Spydernut! And, thank you to all who replied on this thread!

Perhaps it's just me, but to me September 11, 2001, has earned its own thread on this Forum... its own Topic... and for each and every anniversary. That's how it used to be. It seems to me that a stand alone thread for this day comes fewer and fewer, especially in reference to taking out the Spyderco World Trade Center Knife and proudly EDCing it for that day. My opinion is we shouldn't remember this day by posting it on another continuing thread... it needs to stand alone each and every year... and, if need be, I'll see to that!

Thanks for posting this. In my job I have much paperwork to sign and date. With every page signed and dated it was a reminder. I will never forgive or forget. I am honored and humbled by all those serve to protect and preserve our daily lives and freedom. I am also reminded to call my son who is a deputy and tell him so. Thanks
