Re: Pass around of my Spyderco C160 Foundry!
Hey, I got the Foundry and am still alive, been busy lately but will get some pics up later.
Initial thoughts:
Nice ergos
Stout Blade
Impeccable build
Spydie hole is partially obscured when closed, but its big enough that you can still access it easily
I have never been a huge fan of metal handles as they are heavy & slippery. The Foundry has good ergos so the grip is pretty secure. It is a tad heavy for my likes. More to come...

Ofcourse I read this while I'm standing in the postoffice arguing with the head postmaster. Oops. Had to tell him I was sorry. But in my defense they gave me a diffrent story everyday. Was starting to be afraid it was lost and all my fault

Sorry--that must have been pretty uncomfortable. Thanks for trying to work it out, and I'm glad that it ended up being ok. :)

Very nice--thanks! I'll let you guys know when she's back.
Maybe another pass around after a few months? We could see if it would be feasible to do international shipping. :)

Have we heard anything else about when a run to the general public could happen?

Beautiful pics one and all, especially aranae's on this last page. Thanks so much again to GoldenSpydie for making this pass around happen! Glad that it made it safely there and back again. Perhaps the Foundry will eventually come into standard production, so everyone can get a chance to get one for themselves. Many cheers Eli, Radioactive :)

Here, here! Really honored I got to be a part of it, not just for the knife but for sharing the experience with you all. Though it did doom a chunk of my bank account for whenever one of these dares to show itself for sale!RadioactiveSpyder wrote:Beautiful pics one and all, especially aranae's on this last page. Ya know, I was just in that thread concerned with the decline of the community, but this is clear evidence to the contrary. Again, such a cool gesture GS, and well done by all! Enjoy your reunion!

Thanks guys! I'm glad that you all enjoyed the pass around. I'm thinking of doing another pass around with a different knife...maybe a poll to decide which one? (The Foundry may be coming back, too.)

Hey GS, it would be great if you brought that foundry to the seconds sale so I could check it out. :)

Will do. I should have the Foundry, the Cocobolo Worker, and probably the Cruwear Manix.
