One hand opening of a SPY-DK

#1

Post by bullmib »

Hi good people. I have a question for the ones who have bought a SPY-DK, is it really so easy to open with one hand as I have seen on several Youtube reviews. It is supposed to only open with teo, hence it is made to be legal in Denmark and other restricted countries. That is no fun I think.

It can be pushed open one handed with a bit of practice. The handle does not have enough mass to spydie drop or even flick open, but the spring feels slightly less strong than the Pingo IMHO.

Thank you xceptnl for the reply, if it was that easy as it shows it can cost a fine from the chief of police in Denmark.

The location of the hole and its sharp corners make it relatively easy to one-hand open. But I can open all 'two-hand' spydies after a little practice (except the tools in the Spyderench). I certainly won't be demonstrating that skill in public during my upcoming trip to Denmark - that's why I got me a pair of Spy-DKs.
