KC exclusive XHP Native

I've probably been through about 70 or so Spydies by now and had never owned or checked out a Native model. Maybe because of my outdated and in retrospect ignorant bias against knives that are pinned construction.
I find myself being delighted and relishing carrying this Native everyday. Just put my second edge on it after about a year. Sharpening this XHP to a very fine edge is quick and easy :) .
All of the curves and choils on this Native seem designed to fit my hand  When I choose, the blade becomes an extension of my wrist
Has anyone else had a Native epiphany? Who else is grooving on this XHP stuff? Did you take advantage of the KC exclusive?
Just curious because I'm really liking this thing :D

I've got a KC Exclusive Native but haven't ever found a reason to use it :p My SE 440V Native seems to always manage to convince me that I want to use it more. But that's because it is basically my thrasher knife that I use when I'm going to be cutting on rocks or dirt and don't want to have to spend hours re-profiling and taking dings out of plain edges. I do love the ergos of the Native though, it was always one of those knives I never really thought twice about until I held it. It just looked so simple but after holding one, I realized it is so much more than it's looks.

I like it a lot! I had Big Chris full flat grind it, it's a slicer/dicer now!

I bought 2 Charlie...
My eldest son EDC's his, it replaced his beloved Dragonfly...
Mine is in the top dresser drawer when I need a bit more muscle than my Caly Jr. (which isn't very often)...
I am eagerly awaiting the new Light Weight Native to drop however...

I loved the Native from day 1 (it was my first Spydie) and the brown delica was my favorite color FRN of all time so this model made so much sense to me. I have not carried it as much as I should, but it gets admired weekly!

The s30v was my first, and tbh it could fulfill my every edc need better than I can ask for. Abused the heck out of that thing, being my only pocket knife for about a year.

The only CTS-XHP knife I own is the Mule Team rendition at about 60 HRc. I haven't see enough difference in performance between it and my S30V Native (also have the 3D Native in VG-10 and the Forum Native in S110V) to need another Native in CTS-XHP, although it does seem to sharpen a little bit easier than S30V, for me.

I used to only EDC a Native FRN (1st a GIN-1, then an S30V). At the time I was in love with the ergonomics, but now after carrying bigger knives when I pick it up I'm not very enthused for some reason. I recently got my 1st Delica and I dunno... it's kind of a toss up in the ergos department. And now that I'm in love with G10 scales it's not that high on my list for what to put in my pocket on a given day.
Maybe if I got one of the new style clips I would wear it more. The original square-cornered clips snag on everything I walk by. I considered modding mine for a wire clip (like the Native3 had) but never got around to it.

I own the XHP Native, but it sits lonely in its box because when I go lightweight...the 440V Native always goes in the pocket.

I love that one as well. The trio (S30V, 440V, XHP) sit in my case while the N5 gets the carry more often. I anticipate the N5 lightweight to be epic, especially if S110V is on the table as a possibility.

I mostly carry my Burch MidTech these days...the only time it gets replaced is when I need/want to go light weight. So even the N5 is heavier than I want for that kind of carry. But my forum Native has seen some use. My Native 4 was one of my first spydies and I have always loved the Native, even if I think that it is suffering from shrinking blade syndrome, and that is a condition that, I think, needs to be severely remedied.

When I carry a Native, it is usually my KC exclusive XHP Native. It has trouble competing for pocket time against my Manix, but it is a great knife nonetheless.
My Natives:
I really like the Native, but it is just a tad small for my hands. I use smallish lanyards to get more purchase. :)

I used to love the Native Lightweight. Lately I've been loving the Native 5 more.

Native is the holly Grail of knives for me: light, pinned, strong, etc. What an incredible tool!

I've got that one in my pocket right now. I really like this version of the native. Fits very well in my hand and can put a decent edge on the XHP.

I bought the KC exclusive and pretty much like everything about it. I thought it was a good deal at that price, with nice brown FRN and XHP steel. I also have the forum Native 5 and admire it too. They don't wind up getting carried very much these days because I usually carry something bigger, but I'm very fond of both. For me, the KC Native is one I could carry more around people without worrying about anybody gasping, etc, although, with its swedge and general design, it looks a bit pugnacious, like it means business :)
