Knifecenter is such a high volume dealer, that I believe it takes them a while to sort and list new items.

It doesn't hurt to put a pre-order, then if you see it available from another dealer, place an order and tell KC to cancel it.

I just called KC. He said they get them in sometimes one, or another small number at a time. He told me I'm pretty secure since I've had a pre-order for one for 4 months. Still, how long will that take? I figure I might get an email today. Or maybe not for another week or month. Absolutely no idea about when. Starting tomorrow, if I don't get an email confirmation or tracking # or something I'm going to look elsewhere. Doesn't sound like if I canx my order at KC they will have trouble selling the one that would have been mine. I just don't want to miss out completely. But I doubt if these will sell like the PM2 on cutlery shoppe did a couple years ago.

Yeah, some people still have the Ladybug in stock and the Japan sprints don't arrive in one shipment, they trickle in.

I'll let you know if I see some in stock.

I know, I do it too. It's just sometimes it's nice for us Canadians not to have sprints fly off the shelves. The deck is stacked against us with fewer dealer options compared to our American brothers :)

I almost got an aqua from W&W a while back when they were very hard to find but I just didn't know how it would go plus the shipping was like $16, but now I am sad I did not get it.

I did get the aqua back then. I've been very happy to have it.

My main dealers didn't have any available, so I broke down yesterday and found one in an after-market sale. Paid above street, but well below list. I hate doing that - but sometimes it is unavoidable.

I hate doing it too but in 5 years you will have the knife and the extra you paid will be long forgotten. Unless you now can't buy food and die from starvation. :) If you think that may happen let me know and I'll mail you a sandwich. :)
