Does anyone else search their Spydie boxes?

#1

Post by gbelleh »

Whenever I get a new Spyderco, after checking out the Edge-U-cation sheet, I'm always drawn to look underneath the foam sheet on the bottom of the box. I have this ongoing fantasy that one time, there'll be a $100 bill under there! Or a treasure map, or an original Van Gogh sketch, or something else really cool.

Nothing this time. Oh well... :(

Yeah! That's what I'm talking about! Was there a golden ticket in there too? For an all expenses paid trip to Golden for a personal factory tour?

It was just the first box I grabbed from the closet. It happened to be the Moonglow Native 5 box.

Paladin, that was the best post I've seen in a while :)
Water babies singing in a lily-pool delight
Blue powder monkies praying in the dead of night
Here comes the black queen, poking in the pile
Fie-fo the black queen, marching single file

Doh.... I didn't even think of the April 1 context (need head-slap emoticon)... but seriously, gbelleh, did you eat Cracker Jacks as a kid? You know, "A Prize in Every Box"? I know you're not old enough to have been around back when the prizes were actually functional toys (40's & 50's), so maybe you're still trying to get over the disappointment of never getting decent prize?
