You are going to love the stretch! Just got mine in VG-10 and wow all I can say is wow, been using it all day and just broke down a whole chicken. Love the design, loving VG10 that Steel deserves far more respect than it is getting these days.
I really think i'm going to love it to, after carrying the ukpk drop point i fell in love with the bladeshape and ergos, and the stretch 2 have the same bladeshape and looks like it has somewhat the same ergos Just a bit bigger.
Are you going to Carry the caribbians as a pair,?
They are on my list for next years work knives, caribbian pe and se sheepsfoot,,,, or leaf,, i can't decide :(
I had not considered carrying the PE and the SE as a pair. I would feel like a gunslinger :)

The PE has yet to arrive but from the box I took apart with the SE I will say it is better than my Pacific Salt as a slicing cutting machine. The spyder edge is different than the one on the pacific salt and the leaf shape makes for an extremely effective serrated blade. One thing for certain is you do not want to cut yourself with this it will do immediate deep damage.

The Spyderedge on the Pacific Salt has deeper scallops and pointer teeth it has more in common with some of the older Spyderedge knives I own. I much prefer the Spyderedge on the Carribean the Scallops are not as deep and pronounced these are like the ones found on a fully serrated Paramilitary2.

These scallops lock in and slice like crazy!!! Some of you guys that love a good Serrated Edge Blade like I do should really pull the trigger on this guy.

The handle is Yellow very yellow but you know what I like it and it is very sturdy in the hand you just know it will last. The Compression lock on this is well implemented also it is stiffer than I have found on the Paramilitary 2 the Para3 the sage 5 and the Yojimbo 2. There is little chance for accidental disengagement the handle shape really does not lend to choking back on the handle nor with this awesome blade shape is there any reason to.

I recommend the leaf shape the sheepsfoot does not have the belly but is probably safer if being used on a boat. The leaf shape really brings out the power of serrations like nothing I have ever used serrated before.

Got a Native Salt PE from DLT and a purple Laconico/Massdrop Keen on the way this week. I love my Kizer Gemini, but the cutting edge and handle are just a little small for my tastes. The Keen seems like a bigger, better Gemini  . As for the native salt, I’m getting it as a small companion blade for my Caribbean.

The Native will also replace my wharncliffe HAP40 Delica as my main work knife. The HAP40 isn’t tough enough for my uses at work, and has had the tip broken twice and chipping nearly every day. I could give the edge a less accute angle, but 16-18dps isn’t exactly super keen.

Can’t wait! :D

Cutting the top halves off of hundreds of 2x4x1 foot 4 layered cardboard boxes filled with steel bars each day. We reuse the bottom half of the boxes, so the cuts are usually 90 degrees, which takes a lot more force than cutting diagonally. The steel bars are close enough to the sides that cutting a bit too deep dings the edge on the bars.

Yeah, I wish I could use my knives as much as you do during the day.

Often I find myself hunting around for something to cut up.

A couple of Workers headed my way. I am a little ashamed to admit these will be my first C01's to own  :D One is circa 82-83 (3 screw, no lanyard hole, PE) and the other is from the 2015 Green G10 Sprint run. I don't buy many collectors, but I figured I couldn't go through yet another year without a specimen of the knife that started it all. Seeing how I want to put Sal's (& Gail's) design to "work," ;) I decided to snag the most recent iteration (albeit with 30+ years of :spyder: innovation & experience spicing the newer one up, so not EXACTLY the same.)

Spyderco Police 3 PE And SE in VG10 thanks to :spyder: forum
Member Vivi. :spyder: Fellow Ohio Boy!

Also pulled the trigger on a Spyderco Stretch in ZDP189.

Realized Back lock, up and down play in pacific Salt was due to a lack of steel Liners.

Love my Stretch2 VG10 In FRN it has steel liners. Play in Pivot far less than Pacific Salt. G10 full Steel in back and liners should be close to a grail knife with the Stretch2.

Alas design of the stretch2 reminds me of older designs not pretty but man does it get the job done.

Planning to RIT DYE the fugly brown though, Prefer Black. :D

Native 5 Salt is en route. Been excitedly waiting for this one since it was announced. Love the N5 LW profile and size, and LC200N in the ‘Chef has performed well for me. This combo should be an excellent hiking/camping companion.

Thanks I have fallen in love with the Stretch 2 this will make my third one. I got the G10 in Brown like you have shared but gosh I really love this knife in FRN and want a back up for it. Price is right too :)

If I pop a MIlitary or a Police while opening a boxs Customers and Co workers go whoa! with this one no one seems to mind. Laughing little do they know in VG10 this among the sharpest of the sharp.

It really is,, can't decide wich i like the most, they are both sexy knives.
The zdp 189 stretch is by far the sharpest knife out of the box i have ever purchased, This is no normal factory edge :).
The rhino is Just a weird awesome knife, love the blade and it feels real good in the hand.
My vrango is getting a lot less pocket time from now on, but I still love it. Maybe 50/50, argh the choices we have to make..

Finally have a Dragonfly on the way, V-Toku.

Had an early pre-order but ended up canceling when it I bought some other stuff a while back. Suddenly got the itch again and happily it wasn't hard to find (yet).

Kind of funny but I have Chaparrals, UKPKs, Urbans, Calypso Jrs, Pingos, Man/Ladybugs, Natives and Spy DK, but all these years and no Dfly... Time to take the plunge.

:)
