My work takes me into dark places, so torches are important to me, but I left the “latest & greatest” scene behind after realising that enough light is enough light, and what I need, which is flood not throw and minimal hotspot.

I use an old 18650 Solarforce with a Eagtac triple led mule drop-in daily, and a soda-can format 4x18650 Eagtac 4x triple led mule when I need big.

Still the Emisar d4v2 everyday. SST20 4K.

Really surprised the more popular brands ignored CRI for so long.

I've been carrying that Wukkos SC21 in my bag because it works as a 5000mah power bank.

Fraz Labs qt
Hard to get, no electronics except emitter and pad with two spots of solder. Uses qtc quantum tunnel composite, when compressed increases circuit flow. Piston design does not shear the qtc while compressing. Made in Arkansas, USA by a nice couple. He designs and tests, she machines.

Nice collection you have there! I've been looking into getting an edc flashlight since I use the one on my phone all the time. The Fenix E03R is what I'm considering getting but they're coming out with the V2 next month. How do you like the E03R? Also been eyeing up the Nitecore Tini 2 and Tup 1000 as alternatives.

i like the E03R, it's well made, but the control of the fenixes is one of the worst )
i prefer the 16340/18350 format with a magnet in the tail

Just got the E03R and I really like it. Looking at the Version 2 shows it's a tiny bit bigger & heavier, but longer lasting battery & a better low power/fully charged indicator with more lumen output.

Another vote for the 18350 format. I agree that the Fenix interface is poor, and I find Nitecore Mini2 just as aggravating (but that display is so neat!). Andruil isn't for everyone either, but I'm a huge fan of the Emisar D4v2 with the 18350 tube and magnetic tail cap. It does everything from working on the car, locating something the back of the closet, or a late night dog search party with good throw. Its a different form factor, but not that much larger than the Nitecore.

If you simply want a keychain light that is plenty bright and USB recharegable, check out the Sofirn SC01... It's bright, has my favorite high CRI emitter, and a twisty switch doesn't turn on by accident or require lockout like a side switch in your pocket. At $15 it would be hard to fault: https://www.amazon.com/sofirn-Flashligh ... B0986VBCSP

And it makes the very pocketable D4v2 like giant in comparison. But that's 3000 lumens vs about 300 in the SC01.

I'm not sure where you're going with those goggles and hat, but I'd sure like to know!

Great pics as always
