Yeah. They discontinued the blue G-10 and are making black G-10 a regular production model, IIRC.

Not exactly black G-10, but "black cubic check carbon fiber/G-10 laminate" just like the Domino.

Does the CF Sage 3 differ from the Sage 1 in any other way besides the lock?

There are some slight differences between the Sage models. The Sage 3 is actually a little larger than the others (blade and handle), and the blade tang on the Sage 3 sticks out just a bit when closed, unlike the others. The Sage 3 and 4 have solid backspacers, while the 1 and 2 are open, pillar construction, to name the major differences.

One of the reasons why I never was and never will be a fan of the Sage 3.

I wouldn't call another black handled knife an improvement. At least it's not basic peel ply black G-10. I picked up the current Sage 3 because of the blue handle. I like blue.

Exactly! As soon as I heard that the blue model was going to be discontinued I ordered one. I like variety and I didn't want to miss out on the blue option. That being said, I'll probably end up with both because I really like the Sage series of knives and plan to collect them all.
