Shipped My Last Spyderco Out.

Well I had to sell them all except my carry knife the Domino to cover my doctors bills. What makes matters worse is I did not have to had the doctors office informed properly the first time.
I found out after seeing a pain specialist that I could have just went through a family doctor to begin with and they could have treated my back problem with the same pain killers I was on before I moved to Florida, I guess it was a misunderstanding they thought I wanted to be treated just for pain at the family doctor so that's why they told me to see the pain specialist. So now I can just see one doctor for everything and my office visit is half the cost of the pain specialist.
The good news is I have some extra money from selling everything the bad news is I had to sell everything. I will not be buying any Spydies right away I have my eye on a custom knife that was offered to me by a old knife maker friend so I might pick that up, and just have the two knives, the Domino will be my EDC for a long time I just can't stop carrying it even after it stabbed me in the foot that one day when I was packing up my last knife to ship it slid off the bed and stuck me in the side of my foot and bleed all over the place. Probably should have had a few stitches but its healing alright. I just wanted to thank everyone for there support and let you know the money end is looking better my back still sucks but at least I won't go broke right now. Take care.

Good to hear things are working out for you, even if there was confusion in the process.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, but imagine how painful it would have been if you didn't have a precious comodity like spydies to convert into liquid capital when you were in a pinch. I too shared your pain when I had pet troubles earlier in the year. I was fortunate enough to be able to cover my bills by selling off all of my other brands instead of the ones with the hole in the blade.

Sorry to hear :( . I am glad your Spydies held their value enough to put a dent in those bills. They work way better than electronics and car parts.

Take care of yourself an stop by occasionally :) !

The other Forum I'm a life memver of allows you to buy sell and trade and I have done some of all three. I saw an article in Blade Magazine some time ago titled Knives sell like hot cakes and thats true. The trick is getting the very best price when you buy the knife and that way you can at least get your money back.

Having had severe back problems from 2008 I know how it can hurt the pocket book. I had to quit my full time job and now I work a few days a week earning next to nothing. Take care of yourself and don't believe everything the doctor's tell you.

Thanks everyone, I feel I kept the best knife out of the bunch for my EDC. My Domino as far as I am concerned is as close to custom that you can get. The only reason I want another custom is because I can't buy what I want from the factory so he is making my fantasy knife. It might be to big for a EDC since I wear light weight shorts most of the time it's going to be a over built frame lock and will be on the heavy side, but we will see. I won't say who is making it since this is a Spyderco forum but like I said the Domino is just as good as any handmade custom knife I have seen or owned. If it was not for the design limitations of the factory Spyderco's I would not be buying the other knife from a custom knife maker if Spyderco took custom orders I would have had them make this knife as long as its the Taichung Taiwan factory, so sorry Colorado but I think Taichung has them beat buy a little bit judging from the knives I had owned.
