Happy Birthday Hannibal Lecter MD
One of the very first great pals I ever made here at Spyderville was indeed the honorable Hannibal Lecter MD  The good Doctor and I go back quite a few years in the Spyderville archives.
I want to wish Doctor Lecter and his family a great Birthday today. I hope new Karambits, Hawkbills and tactical blades find their way to your footlocker my friend :)
And let's keep hoping that our dream of a new, revamped G-10 Harpy comes to fruition soon.

My Very Dear Friends,
Yes, I am still above-ground and vertical.
I admit that I was highly amused to see my birthday fall on National Knife Day. Fitting, I suppose. Spyderco was my introduction to knives of real quality - my first Spyderco was, as might be expected, a stainless Harpy SE. I still have that knife and carry it often.
My very sincere appreciation for the birthday wishes!

Harpy Birthday :)
Funnily enough, I am currently reading the Thomas Harris series - in the past week I got through Red Dragon, Silence of the lambs and 2 days ago started Hannibal (not the first time I have read them, they also got me into really collecting spyderco - after googling to see what a Harpy and Civilan were- but I did own a "Q" and a rescue before that)
Edit - **** Autocorrect - it's fitting though! so I'm going to leave it
