Police C07 Stainless

#1

Post by CXXX »

The Police has always been one of my favorites, I have 10 various versions, I just noticed a CQI change for 2013 on the stainless model that prompted me to purchase one right away. It now has the 4 way clip capability so I can carry tip up. It has the new style clip that mounts for deeper pocket carry. Recieved yesterday, switched the clip, and placed it in the EDC rotation.
Thanks Spyderco, a true classic, improved!

I'm curious to see this deeper pocket carry clip.

The old clip could have been mounted for much lower carry than it was. Personally, I felt the ride height was just right for inside the waistband carry, which is how I prefer to carry the SS Police.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

Clip is the same "hourglass" clip used on the Delica, Endura, Stretch, etc. What makes it lower riding is that the screw holes for TD/RH carry have been moved forward, from behind the pivot, to ahead of it. Not a "low rider" per se, but a lot lower ride than before, plus the added options of tip up RH and TU/TD LH carry.

For those for whom seeing is believing, the Police is near the front of the 2013 catalog.

Here's a picture of an older Police with a reversed clip. The clip is wider and therefor can't move any lower on the scales.

Nice pic! What's that neat little blade with the dragon on the handle in the Kydex sheath?
