New Forum Member- Long Time Knife Nut

Post by Tabo »

Hello all Spyderco forum members!

I just wanted to say hello to all of you and give a little info about me.... My name is Justin and I am a long time knife nut from southwestern Pennsylvania and avid lover of Spydercos. I once had a huge collection of knives ranging from cheap gas station blades to customs. At the time I was still living at home and could afford all of these blades. Well it was time to "grow up" as my girlfriend would say and so 99% of the collection was sold off to afford a place of my own and "for the future". I kept a few blades around (Dragonfly Salt, Esse 4, and the Para-Military 2) but I'm hoping the collection will be brought back to life again.

Just recently I sold my Para 2 and purchased the Native 5 forum knife (which I gave to one of my friends as a gift) so right now I am carrying the Super Blue Endura 4. Spyderco makes a great product and they are without a doubt my favorite knife company!

Anyway, thanks for your time by reading this and I will start to put in my 2 cents worth here on the forums (I have been "guesting it" since last year sometime).

Welcome to the forums!! I also recently sold a PM2 to fund my purchases on the 18th! And luckily I'll be getting my green Para 2 back this week as well, so I'll be having a green G-10 EDC very soon! I still have a green edc since I've got a BRG ZDP Ladybug on my Keychain but it's not the same.

Well I hope you enjoy it here on the forums, and be prepared to suddenly have an empty wallet. That's what's happened to me since I joined :p On the plus side, my knife collection has become pretty decent by my standards

I can start be listing all the Spyderco's I owned and had to sell....
2 FFG Enduras, 3 FFG Delicas, CF Chaparral, 3 Para 2's, Sage 1 & 2, Southard, Techno, Caly 3.5 (VG10), Tenacious, Stretch (VG10), Native 5 (G10), Gayle Bradley, Manix 2 & the Manix 2 Lightweight

The rest of the collection included a couple of Sebenza 21's, Strider SnG's, Emerson's, Benchmade's, and Kershaw's. Only had two customs and they were a Al Warren slipjoint and a Curtiss knives Cruze flipper.

I would like to eventually get a RJ Martin custom, but that is long stretch for me.
