I use my 2009 Forum Knife (in fact, it's in my pocket today), and this one will get used as well.

1 for use, such a high end steel it be a shame to leave it in a safe or drawer. I made the decision a while back that I wouldnt buy a knife I wouldnt use.

I plan to lightly use it, just like almost all my others. This is my first forum knife, and I really like the color. I doubt I'll ever push S110V to its limits, but I'm looking forward to putting it into my EDC rotation.

"Admire and then trade" isn't an option on the poll, so I didn't vote, but that's what I'm doing :D

I'm sure there'll be some, but anyone who bought one specifically to capitalize on the short supply is kind of a jerk. I know it happens but I wish it didn't. I feel it goes against the spirit of what being a collector or enthusiast is all about.

This one goes into my collection of Spyderco Forum Knives.

One to use, one more probably for my silly younger adult son who didn't order one. S110V just screams "use me."

This will be my first Native5, so I will probably just play with it for a week or two until I decide how it fits in with my usage plans, but ultimately I plan for it to be a user.

I checked every box on the list because I do not know the future. In the past it has been my opportunity to offer to sell my one and only forum knife to a fellow forum member who missed out. I did not charge a penny more than I paid but I deeply appreciate that forum member and the chance to include them in the forum knife experience. I suspect I will be counted in the minority of folks who choose to sell but not profit from the sale. I am also prone to giving good knives to good friends. My first model with ZDP 189 (Calypso Jr Burgundy FRN Sprint Run) was gifted to a very good friend.

I had originally planned on making mine into a user, but after getting it into my hands, this might be my first pure collector knife. If anything I may try to get one of the carbon fiber versions, but honestly it would be more for the steel than the knife. Like some others have mentioned, I may just hold out and pray that a Para 2/Military/Manix 2 or the like come out with S110V before I experience this steel.

Is the native 5 platform not to your liking D?

I've already begun using mine. It will see some heavy usage not prying or anything too stupid but i will be cutting A LOT with it. Probably lots of manilla rope, cardboard, nylon straps, and whatever else I can find. Its my EDC right now so it's gonna see the most usage. I always carry my H1 SE spyderhawk for really mundane task that could damage my knife.

It will see usage...some would consider it heavy, but really...it begs to be used. As an example, here is a (bad) picture of my green Para2 today, we are doing some plumbing work and there was rubber to be cut, drywall to be scored, pvc pipe to scratch marks on...etc...and all the last 1/4" will still shave arm hair...loving it!

I definitely don't dislike it but I would have a hard time choosing it over my Para/Manix/Yojimbo 2s. Honestly knife for knife and forum knife aspect aside my biggest interest is the steel. It really is a sweet knife though, excellent ergos, but I get all that with the other 3 but with lock designs I prefer over the back lock. If it was ever offered with a compression lock it would probably be the perfect sub 3 inch EDC blade.

I haven't decided yet if I'll use it. I may wait to see if I get the carbon fiber version. I will definitely use one Native in 110V.

I will wait to have mine in hand before I decide User vs Queen!
