Spyderco Site Update - Issues w/Forum Knife and/or MT17P Orders

#1

Post by TazKristi »

Hi guys, we are very aware that there is an issue and we are doing all that we can to correct it as quickly as possible.

For those who are calling in and getting angry with our crew please understand that they are doing the best they can to assist you.

Please also avoid needlessly entering random/high quantities into a cart for either item to try and determine how many are left. We do not load the full inventory into the site system. The number of people doing that though is phenomenal and it is taking resources away from people trying to order.

We respectfully ask, if you have successfully placed your order please do not try to put any quantity in your cart to determine how many are left.

Thank you in advance for your patience and know that we are doing all that we can to correct the issue.

**UPDATE #2**
The issue isn't technically with our site. Some of the requirements that we have to have in place in the cart require verification of zip codes. Due to a number of people who were circumventing the initial requirements we had to link the verification to a tool through Google. That tool, Google, is what is being overloaded.

We are working to correct the issue.

If you have called and left a voice mail or sent an e-mail the SFO crew will get back to you. You can continue to attempt to place your order online as many orders are making it through.

Please be patient though. Know that we are doing all that we can with as many people as we can.

Kristi
There is nothing more important than this one day.

I didn't realize that entering high numbers repeatedly caused problems. I'll stop :o

Thanks for the opportunity to get this knife!

Yeah seriously people, no need to get angry at the crew. Can you imagine being one of the people answering the hundreds of phone calls from people flipping out over this? Someone get those folks a cup of coffee and a donut lol.

I guess I should have checked here before I e-mailed tech support. Thanks for the update and feel free to disregard the phone message as well.
I don't believe in safe queens, only in pre-need replacements.

I can't believe this had to be posted about angry people. Be happy these are even being offered.

I don't know if it was my browser or the issues got sorted out but I was not able to complete my order with firefox, so I tried it using chrome and it went through without a hitch.

It isn't a browser issue. I also tried Chrome and it didn't work (also Firefox). After clicking 'submit' for 40 minutes, my order finally went in using Safari on my iPad. Got 2 N5.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. I had to talk dirty to my browser before it would go through LOL.
