When It Comes To Spyderco Knives, There's Nothing Like...

When it comes to Spyderco Knives, there's nothing like the "CLICK!!!" you hear when thumbing open the Spyderco C95 Manix!

How about you? :)

The brown pm2 jumps open like an auto and makes the nicest thunk, even compared to other pm2's!

I personally love the CBBL "SNICK" of the Manix 2 as well as the hollow sounding "THWOCK" made by slowly opening the Military's liner lock into a cupped palm. Right now I am in love with the solid CLICK made by a new Caly 3 Super Blue. Great thread, the sound that our favorite pieces of folding cutlery make is just another level of joy we get to experience. Why deny our ears what our eyes and hands already enjoy?

The Valloton makes a satisfying clank and so does the Resilience .
The matriach 2 makes a more subtle dink but its a I mean business dink :D .

There is somewhere on YouTube a car enthusiast who can on hearing the door being closed .
Tell what car make and model it is just from the noise the door makes .
I think it was over 50 models IIRC ot but not too far off.

That is talented. I would be even more impressed if Deacon chimes in on this thread and takes the Spydie Challenge!

I like the sound of the Lion Spy opening. It has a different sound quality than any of my other Spydercos.

My large Lum makes a very nice thwack!

Then of course there is the unique sound of the Navaja. It took me awhile to warm up to the design, I finally ordered and received mine this week, very fun! Hope I don't have any issues with the ratchet mechanism, like a few of the early purchasers.

I sold off a strider pt because of the lockup sound. I much prefer the *Clatchk* of my Yo2. The *kudupf* of my D2 PM 1 is kinda weak, but when it closes the *Dup* kind of makes up for it.

Now... if Spyderco could produce a knife that goes, "SCHWIIING!", they'd have a big seller! ;)

I'd certainly buy one that made that sound.

Nothing like having a Military in your pocket when something needs to be cut.

The other day while at work some of the others where covering stuff with those plastic drop cloths and needed to cut one down to size....

Well one of the guys asked me to cut it knowing I always have a knife on me, I took out my M390 Military..... One of the guys said "man that is a huge blade, I have a switch blade..... OH man...It's not that sharp!!!!!" ..... As the Military cut through the Drop cloth (Still folded up) like it wasn't even there......

The other guy said...... "Jim's always got the good steel"....
