Maybe, you mean "UZI" ???

UZI's are real guns, airsofts generally do a good job replicating one. I believe the UZI is an isreali gun. Could be wrong.

So it's going to be very short and stubby, and probably very fast. I'm talking about the airsoft version, here. If you are getting a airsolt, make sure it is GAS powered. Spring loaded ones are cheap, but they are really dumb. GAS, or electric power is good.

Just getting into airsoft? Get a beretta. Or a H&K. those are goodens, but they'll run you a good 70-100.

Uzi was created by a Mr Galil of Israel. He died about a month or so ago. I believe they were of .45 and fully automatic. You can often see them in movies. Many soldiers in the middle east have them and the ak series of rifles.

Midget> I challenge you to tell me my spring powered pistol is cheap...

made in 1965-1970(my dad's old one), it's a Single Shot, Break Barrel design. Weighing in at about 3lbs, full metal construction, 16 screws, 82 parts total...

I've had to strip the whole sucker to clean it, so I know this gun... 2nd spring since I got it, takes about 1/2hr to change the spring.

*600fps*, takes me about 2seconds to load and fire another shot. Been using it since I was 9(Xmas, grade 4), now don't even bother aiming under 50yards. 95-100%, still miss once in a while....

Spyder_dude007> The Uzi is an isreali design, used by military forces world wide(though many are moving towards the AK or more powerful ones). It came in .45 cal, switch either 3 shot burst or fully auto. Can't tell you how large the mag was.

9mm submachinegun. High cyclic rate of fire, and considered dependable. (I'm talking about the real Uzi, not the toy).

curved blade=good

First paint-ball guns and now airsoft Uzis...
Where is this world comin' to?? <img src="smile.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Bevis,
I once heard that the name "Uzi" translated meant "God is my power". Kind of a fitting name, eh?

I also have see the airsoft Uzis, and they look pretty tight. I'll have to see if I still have the catalog that has them.

Peace,

Michael

Vampyrwolf,

No, I don't mean any disrespect. Certainly, you have a high quality spring loaded, and that's really cool. Your gun is an exception for those who know what they are doing.

But cheap, spring loaded airsofts are being made a dime a dozen these days. And they stink. And break.

Airsoft is a spinoff of paintball. It uses a smaller paint projectile fired at a much higher velocity. The guns are modeled after real guns, unlike paintball guns, and armor has to be worn to prevent bruises and skin breaks. The idea is that airsoft is more of a "real combat" scenario, unlike paintball which is more of a game of tag at 200 ft.

So, to answer the question, airsoft is the type of gun used in the sport of the same name.

midget> no offense taken. I know, as I've gone through one of those cheap ones...

Crappy Tire, 400fps. 30shot BB, or single pellet. slide for cocking... $50 in 97... sold it in '00 for $30 at a garage sale...
*Listed* at 400, if that thing even got 200 it would have surprised me.
I had the 600 measured for me(oiled 650, dry 590).

I actually fired the real merchandise at the "tension range"<img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0> at Ft. Benning, Ga.
9mm Parabellum
650 rds per minute
about 8lbs loaded
32 rd magazine

Made also in a "micro"( MAC 10 size ) configuration <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
BTW : Uzi means "God is my strength" in Hebrew <img src="wink.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>

Go for that airsoft version! <img src="tongue.gif" width=15 height=15 align=middle border=0>
