Cats & dogs, companions

From another thread about cats in our lives, figured it might be a good idea to post some pictures of our companions. Here's my son's cat. The old guy is now about 18 (we've lost track along the way somehow) and is a bit more feeble than in past years, but he's still chugging along. My son is the the Army and is now a drill sergeant & E6 (at 23 years old). He's done two tours in the middle east.
Itty Bitty's picture from a couple of years ago, winter coat. He did catch & eat a dove this past weekend while supervising my work in the front yard. Didn't think he could move that fast still.
Tri-x & semi-stand development on warmtone paper.

This is my cat, Charlotte (who is currently recovering from a saddle thrombus). We've had her for 13 years.
We also have a miniature pinscher, Annie. She's about 7 and a half years old.
They've both been great companions over the years.

No longer with us, but my last dog, Brutus. Rotwieler/mastiff mix.
I hope to adopt a dog once I get out of base housing.

A min pin are they rare in the USA d guess so ?.
My first dog as a child a Manchester terrier almost identical but larger.
Lost my bullmastiff in oct

and due to health issues can't get another yet .
Maybe an English bull terrier as the wife would be more confident walking him.
But my true love is bullmastiff , a better guard you couldn't find IMO .
We have a kitten but he's chewed my leather sheaths , claws my legs steals my **** chicken.
We are not on speaking terms right now :D .

Some really lovely cats here ... great photos. (Ok, dogs too, but I'm in the cat phase of my existence.) Here's Spooks looking less spookable than usual:
