Native Gin Steel?

#1

Post by richard w »

I have been offered a Native with part serrated adge, at a very good price by a local dealer. However there is a marking on the blade that says Gin 10. I thought Natives were either CPM 440V or AUS 10. It has the black handle similar to my Calypso Jnr LTWT. What is the steel like? Is it a good buy for £35.00 (US$ 53.00)or should I stick with getting a 440V model?

Get 440V if you can. It is a superior steel. I don't know what Native prices are like but $53 for GIN-1 in the US is overpriced now that 440V is available.
