Who else would like to see some Police and Rookie sprints with some new steels? I sure would...

I would like one with an FRN handle or blue g10.

a police salt in orange FRN would be sweet.

Blue G10, fully serrated, CPM-S30V. I'd love that!

I just want the Police blade in a Police 3 style handle. Love the swedge and hollow grind, hate the steel handle.

Yowzer: I'm pretty sure you could swap them out with the right tools, I know a guy that did that by putting a saber delica blade into a steel handle.

I'd be into a Rookie sprint, updated like the Police 3 including FFG blade, boye dent, and finger choil.

I would be open to another Rookie G10 sprint. It seemed a lackadaisical seller last time but a terrific knife.

I would like to see another Rookie, preferably in CF. if in G10, I would like to see another color, besides green.

....and they can do it again, if the poll on G-10 and micarta scales is any indication of interest in knives in other then the pedestrian FRN. Let's face it, the offerings in G-10 are more robust in build, and inspire more confidence in long term use then the thin, vapor-wear Spyderco calls "liners" in the plastic handle models.

Rookie for sure, VG-10 is fine with me, CF scales and I am in.

I'd be all over a rookie sprint. I like the idea of CF scales and an upgraded steel, although the G-10 and vg-10 are perfectly fine. Deep carry clip.

Polls rarely tell the whole sales picture. A FRN knife, once you get over the initial cost of the injection mold, is much cheaper to produce. That may be boring to enthusiasts but leaves a lower average price for mainstream buyers.

I guess some folks feel more secure with a g10 knife but do you have any data that a FRN nested liner knife is any weaker? More often than not liners are added to increase rigidity and hardware attachment points like for clips. They do reinforce the pivot but not because they are thick. That and I've heard of more liner-less knives snapping at the blade than shearing out at the pivot or lockbar. Place some steel (any type) in there and the chance decreases further.

Back to the Rookie. The foliage green one didn't sell well. Since sprints are only done in one configuration they will never do another of that type. Maybe a different scale color or steel type but not the exact same. Since they don't have a FRN mold that very unlikely to happen. Heck, they have a Jess Horn LW mold and we haven't seen that one come back.
