I have to say, it looks interesting and it's not a bad price for what it is, but this kind of goes against the whole keep it affordable for as many people as possible idea. I hope it does well, but I am betting they would have sold a lot more N5 lightweights. After much anticipation, I will probably end up passing on it.
So many knives, so few pockets... :)

Ummm... We are talking about CPM-110V here. Care to share what you wanted the forum knife steel to be? And you would have preferred an N5 lightweight which hasn't been released yet... Forum knives aren't usually a debut of a model.araneae wrote:I have to say, it looks interesting and it's not a bad price for what it is, but this kind of goes against the whole keep it affordable for as many people as possible idea. I am stokedddddddddddddddddd.
My big worry is that I'll be on a 4 day bike ride at the end of May. If the go date hits May 29 - June 1, I'll have to bring my notebook PC and find a place with an internet connection to make the purchase.
Our reason is quite satisfied, in 999 cases out of every 1000 of us, if we can find a few arguments that will do to recite in case our credulity is criticized by someone else. Our faith is faith in someone else's faith, and in the greatest matters this is most the case.

Honestly I don't care about the steel, I look forward to the knife as something special Spyderco does for the forum members. If it was a Native 1 in 440C I would buy it, I am not excited about the forum knife for whatever super steel. Typically, Sal has said he prefers to keep the forum knife very affordable so as many people as possible can get one. $150 is not what most people would call affordable. I'm not saying it isn't worth the price, just that it isn't what most would call an affordably priced knife. If it was around $65 more people would be able to pick one up. We already waited a long time, I wouldn't care if it was another x months wait for the N5 lightweight.FCM415 wrote:Ummm... We are talking about CPM-110V here.
